Guess what??
My writing was posted on a writing blog!
My writing!
Posted!
On a writing blog!
I’m so nervous.
Anyway, it’s called “Death smells like vanilla”. Here’s a link if you want to read it. http://utahchildrenswriters.blogspot.com/2010/04/30-days-30-stories-death-smells-like.html It’s part of their April “30 Days, 30 Stories” gig in which one short story is posted every day. My aunt’s posting one on April 14, and she’s an amazing writer; I can't wait.
My story’s not the usual light-hearted children or young-adult story that most of the other posts are. But it’s what was in my heart, and if your heart’s not in it, it won’t be good.
{Don’t tell anyone that I haven’t even taken a writing class since high school…}
Did I mention I'm nervous?
That's beautiful, Brooke!
ReplyDeleteBrooke, that was such an amazing story. You are such an eloquent writer. It made me cry, it was so good! I love you and you HAVE to keep writing, OK?
ReplyDeleteReally good. I had no idea you were such a talented writer! What a way to put a part of that experience into words.
ReplyDeleteBrooke! That truly was an incredible piece of writing. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into your heart. I thought I let you know that my Dad read it and was very impressed with your writing. And he is usually a pretty harsh critic, so that is saying something.
