Silver Lining: Favorite Day

Favorite Day

In elementary school, the ladies in the office sang this song every Friday on the intercom. They were off-pitch and old, and it was adorable.

Friday, Friday, Friday is my favorite day!

Aren't Fridays great?

This morning, my Friday started with an early-morning trip to the temple. I ran into lots of people I knew, including one very smiley and happy sister missionary {yay Hermana Adams! She was even more smiley and lovely than before}.

I love walking out of the temple to the sunrise and valley view.

Then, during a work break, I talked to Momma Rouse and Momma Smith on the phone! They are two of the very best mothers I know, and they make me smile. Plus Momma Rouse said she sent a Valentine to me!

{I'll admit it. I talk to mothers from Oregon more than high school friends from Oregon. Significantly more. Should that be worrisome? Maybe, but I don't feel like worrying about anything today. There's too much sunshine outside.}

Now, I'm in the library. Technically I'm doing homework, but actually I'm teasing Amanda and getting distracted by Sam and stalking people's adorable blogs.

Not to mention the sunshine.

Not to mention our plans for tonight {I can't say anything yet! I'm keeping a secret! But I'm so excited!}

And I realize that I'm breaking the number one blogging rule - IS EACH POST ABOUT SOMETHING? - with all this rambling, but I don't care because the sun is so shiny and almost warm.

Happy Friday everyone!

  1. I agree. There's no reason to be sad on a Friday. Of course, Saturday morning we get to go clean the church building. Hmmm...elbow deep in the urinals. It's going to be great!

    So glad my husband is at a priesthood meeting tonight so that I could catch up on your posts.
