At first, fiance and I wanted to have our brothers and sisters be our bridesmaids and groomsmen.
But if we did that, we'd end up with 13 groomsmen and 6 bridesmaids, which would be a little out of control. (I know, weird family situations.)
So in the end we decided to ask our best girlfriends and guy friends. I was so happy with that, because we got to share our big day with more than just our family.
Plus, my friends are gorgeous.
Cait Cait // Meg-o // Al-o // Johannie // Katie
The groomsmen were pretty fabulous too. Sam has WAY too much fun with these guys. Can you tell? (minus Chad, who sadly had to go to a funeral right after we got sealed).
Ryan // Mr. Husband // Mark // Thomas
Aren't they handsome?
What about you? If you are married, did you do bridesmaids and groomsmen? Did you have family or friends? Of if you're not married yet, have you dreamed of a huge bridal party or not so much?
i love. i love. i have always wanted a big party...like, 6 to 8...but, we shall see. ;)

My husband and I did friends and family members....I ended up with 8 bridesmaids and he had 5 groomsmen. I loved having my best friends and my sister/SILs with me.
ReplyDeletey'all are so pretty. i thought i would have a big party but now that my brother is getting married, i'm seeing that it's just too much hassle, ha!

We had 3 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen ;) I was hoping to have more but my other friends are too spread out across the country to get here for the big day ;) Oh well
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog...It is so cute! I love it! Come check out my blog:www.sweetteaandpumps.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog from Hollie's follow friday. I'm your newest follower :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I got married, I only had three bridemaids. I kind of felt inferior, because where I live most girls have like 8 or more bridesmaids. I didn't use any family in my wedding party. Having only three bridesmaids worked out perfectly, because hubby only wanted to have three groomsmen.
Thankfully, my hubs and I dont have a ton of siblings so we were able to do both friends and brothers/sisters in the wedding party. I like the way you guys did it! 13 groomsmen would have been outta control. lol.
ReplyDeleteI love the outfits. :) I've never really thought of my bridal party much. My family has never really had formal bridesmaids and groomsmen. It will probably just be sisters/brothers. We shall see though. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this! :) Your bridesmaids were gorgeous and your groomsmen were handsome! And of course you and your husband looked fabulous! My husband and I didn't really do a bridal party. Our whole wedding was pretty laid back. Most of our family (parents and siblings) dressed in our wedding colors though. And then I took pictures with my five sisters/SILs.
ReplyDeleteYour friends are gorgeous, and I am sure that I am not biased.
ReplyDeleteAWWW!! I love the outfit, simple and adorable. Wedding pictures are always so cute with everyone looking great smiling and so happy. Seems like it was a very happy day for everyone! :)

I deffinitely want friends....my little borther can be a groomsmem too, if he is nice :)
ReplyDeleteloooooooove all of these pictures!!! you and your friends are gorgeous and the men look quite dapper and handsome as well.
ReplyDeleteit'll depend on how many siblings he has. i know that my absolute best friend holly will be a bridesmaid for sure and my sister will be my maid of honor. we'll just have to see when that time of life rolls around for me :)
I love what your bridesmaids are wearing. So pretty and simple!
ReplyDeleteWe had bridesmaids and groomsmen. It was kind of a hodge-podge of people. Kyle asked his younger brother and his three best friends. I asked one of my cousins and three of my girlfriends. It's funny because even though it was awhile ago, it would probably still be the same people if I got married today. That's a comforting thought. :)
I recently went here for a Christmas Party and right from the moment I walked in I was in awe and I can only hope my daddy dearest offers to pay for my wedding here someday!
