Bragging moment: he was the valedictorian {the valedictorian, people!}. I have been looking up to my little brother since I was a little girl. He got all the intellect, talent, kindness, and wit in the family.
Here are a few pictures of his awesome day {and a few from his open house}:

my cousin Stuart, who also graduated today! |
All in all, I'm super proud of him and Stu, and it was an awesome day.
In other news...
+ We went on two dates with this couple over the weekend (We have a third planned for Thursday. That's three in a week. No big deal.)
+ First pool party of the season happened!
+ I had an awesome Memorial Day. Last year at this time, I was recovering from surgery. Sam carried me down the stairs and into the car, and I hobbled slowly to the grave while he held me up. This year, we walked in side by side, carrying flowers. I couldn't stop thinking how blessed I am to have a healthy body, and so many people who have gone before me to pave my pathway.
Congratulations, John! We're so stinkin' proud of you!
What an awesome accomplishment!! Congrats to your brother!!

Congrats!! I was at the same ceremony for my little sister :). And wow! Valedictorian at LP! Very impressive!
ReplyDeleteCute pictures! I love that you guys have another fun couple to hang out with. Matt and I miss those days so much! (We still have friends, it's just harder with kids). Our first callings after we got married were as the "sunday school group leaders", which basically meant make friends! It was great.
ReplyDeleteOk, I just saw that the first person to leave a comment goes by Mrs. Pancakes. Rachel loves to call people Mr. Turkey Pants and Cole has started responding with Mrs. Donut. They would love Mrs. Pancakes.
ReplyDeleteHey Brooke! What a fun blog you have! Following you back! :)
