Tomorrow, I'm going home.
Home to where I spent 18 years of my life growing up.
Home to where it's so green, and the people are so nice.
I'm practically giddy with excitement.
And this time, I get to bring my husband with me.
(He's never been. I guess that's what happens when your family moves to a different state while you're in college.)
We're going to cross as much off our HUGE to-do list as we can {but I have a feeling we're not going to even get halfway through, and it will be glorious}.
Punch Bowl Falls (although I have a feeling we're not going to get to this one on our trip) Image via |
Sidetrack comment: today we're going to an evening showing of Dark Knight Rises {one day early! For free! With free food! Perks of having a real life job, I guess. Sam is over the moon excited. Batman is his fave.}.
Back to the point: here's my question.
I'm taking Sam to the coast, but I can't decide which beach to go to!
Should I go rustic and do Cannon?
Or should I go touristy and take him to Seaside?
Or somewhere else entirely?
Oregon travelers, let me know!
We had a family reunion at Cannon Beach once when I was really little!
ReplyDeleteYou are from Oregon?! What part? I am too!! Love this :) Seaside is so much fun in the summer!! Have an amazing trip!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite beach was Oswald West State park! But if that's not an option, I'd say Cannon Beach.
ReplyDeletePacific city! It's the prettiest and they have the best tide pools
ReplyDeleteThere is no other beach except Cannon Beach. Do Ecola State Park while you are there. Eat at Bruce's for my kids. It's my favorite beach (even though you have to wear a sweatshirt in the summer).
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to go to Oregon some day!! I hear Seaside is so fun! :) Also, have a blast at Batman!! I'm taking my sibs to see it in IMAX tonight--can't wait!! :)
ReplyDeleteaw so much fun! thats so exciting! travel safe!
ReplyDeleteand i am SO jealous you get to see the dark night rises early, and for free!! i love me some batman.

Cannon Beach is my favorite! A lot cuter than Seaside, in my opinion. Also, while you're there, drive a few miles further south on 101 from Cannon to stop at Hug Point. It's a gorgeous little cove and there's hardly ever anyone there.
ReplyDeleteI love the coast! One of my favorite things to do. I am so jealous that you are seeing The Dark Knight!!! Eeeek, can't wait!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, Oregon looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteMy brother is on his mission in Oregon right now! He's in Bend, which I don't think is anywhere near the coast, but he loves it. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteTake a whale watching boat in Depoe Bay...I just did that today and it was AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteOh how awesome! I ALMOST went to school in Oregon, so I've only been to the state once, but it looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteoh oregon! why are you so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy family lives in portland.
I would say seaside all the way.
There is just nothing like it!
I hope you chose Cannon! I prefer it to Seaside. :)
