I can tell that we are going to be friends

This morning I got up at the blissfully late hour of 8:30

snuggled my husband

sent him off to school with a kiss

wrapped up in one of his sweaters

and sat outside to sip a hot drink.

The morning smelled of freshly cut grass and autumn.

And that's when it hit me -

fall break and I are going to be friends.
