As I mentioned
yesterday, I'm in the middle of a serious hair crisis (or, as serious as hair crises get). I really want to chop it all off and go with a fresh, light bob. But I've also been growing my hair out for a long time, and I appreciate how long it took and I do like my hair long. Also my husband loooves my long hair.
If I cut it, think Katie Holmes in 2008, Karlie Kloss (go Karlie!), or the adorable
Bri Lamkin right now.
If I keep it long, think..... Pocahontas? Ha. Just think my hair right now :)
And now, for your viewing pleasure, the first two candid shots I found of myself with short hair and long hair (helloooooo, high school!).
I've been having this problem too! I've been growing my hair out for years but now I just want it short! I like both pics, you'll look great either way :)
ReplyDeleteI like this idea. I'm debating too. I've been debating for a while, but this is the longest my hair has ever been so it's hard. I usually like to do something pretty drastic every time I cut my hair...it's been a tough road. Also, with the baby coming I see pros and cons to both long and short hair. But I don't want the "Mommy cut." Why must hair be so difficult? LOL.
ReplyDeleteI would say go for it! I think changing it up is always great, and it's always going to grow out if you don't like it :)
ReplyDeleteif you really want to do it, you can even donate your hair =) either way you’ll look adorable!
ReplyDeleteHard decision! I just had the same conundrum and spent all of spring break pinning hair images. I finally settled on "mid-length" and I like it. When I saw those pics of you with long hair I thought "Wow!", but you could seriously rock the bob. Aw heck, I didn't help at all, did I...
ReplyDeleteYou are a stunning person, so you can pull off any haircut. You are gorgeous and could wear a potato sack and still look beautiful. So even if you didn't love the short hair--you'd still be beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteLive on the edge. Go for it. (I'm mostly saying that because I can't cut my hair short. I have too many cowlicks and a weird neck. But you should totally do it.)
First of all I love you blog! I found you through bella the blog and you can consider me your newest fan! I know exactly what you're going through, I go through this struggle about once a year around summer time. I usually end up cutting it all off...and then miss my long hair as soon as the school year starts again! You'd look cute either way though! Feel free to check out my budding blog, Slightly Strange over at http://7julieh.blogspot.com/ :)
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the hardest decisions EVER. Good thing is you look SO CUTE either way. If the picture at the top right of this page is you now, I would say get a few layers in there or something and leave it long for a while. I'm biased though. I personally like my hair long. Like you said though, it takes such a long time for it to grow out. And if your husband loves it, then I would say definitely keep it long ;)
ReplyDeleteI totally used that Katie Holmes haircut as my inspiration chop two summers ago. I'm a big fan.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great hair. Nice flowy locks! I like it long but if you were to cut it, the Katie Holmes style is definitely a perfect pick. Hair grows back so it's always nice to experiment!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I cut it short I hate it and spend the next few years growing it back long! Unfortunately I seem to forget that as soon as the desire to change my hair hits again
ReplyDeleteI just chopped about 8 inches off my hair... it's about the length of those pictures! And you know what, it's WAY different but I love it! I think it's always nice to change the length for summer, especially if your comfortable with doing it and you've done it before! My vote is short hair :) It looks darling on you.
