The truth is,
I'm just as nervous as you.
I can't sleep either,
and I also laid out my clothes the night before.
I got an extra hug and kiss this morning
like you did.
I have a brown bag with an apple and a sandwich inside, like you.
I have the same questions you do.
Will you like me?
Will you help me?
Will you love me?
Will you teach me?
I'm just as excited as you.
I spent a lot of time getting ready for this year.
I spent a lot of time getting ready for this year.
And I have a feeling it will be great.
I hope you have that feeling too!
Now now, Brooke, it is just anxiety. You'll come home all excited, just like the last 16 years.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Your posts always bring me back to the exciting days of elementary school.

ReplyDeleteYou seem like a wonderful teacher. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing, and they can't help but love you. Rachael felt the same 6 years ago when she started, and cried this year as she decided to stay home with her kids. you will love it, and they will be blessed because of that. go rock it!

It's so true! Every year I go through the whole first day of school thing all over again! It's mainly the reason I love reading my kiddos "First Day Jitters"!
ReplyDeleteSo very true! I still can't sleep the night before. I love the first day of school!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet! I can't sleep the night before either. I don't know how it's going to be teaching college; I wonder if I'll get those jitters too.
