This week has been kind of rough. One of my little students has begun phasing out, which means he's moving to a different type of classroom. I'm always sad to see any student go, but I'm excited that he'll be in a classroom setting where he can get the help he needs. (But it's been a rough transition week for him, which means it's been rough for me and the rest of the class too!)
This weekend calls for some major recharging time - a night out with my best friends, a birthday celebration, and hopefully a long hot shower followed by curling up in bed with Insurgent (someone tell me it's not one of those let-down sequels?).
In the meantime, this has to be documented even though it will embarrass him: A few nights ago, during our no-heat phase, I was freezing, grumpy, and exhausted. My sweet husband found my warmest pajamas for me, tucked me into bed, and pulled up our space heater right by my side. He rubbed my back and sweet-talked me into a good mood before I fell asleep. He is simply the greatest.
One last thing: When we first moved into the treehouse, I wondered if the beautiful green leaves outside my window would be equally beautiful in the fall. The official verdict is in: they are even more beautiful. I love our little neighborhood.
Happy Friday!
May your weekend be full of fall leaves and long hot showers like mine :)
Oh my goodness! I love the Divergent series and am so excited for the movie. Although, I cannot assure you that it isn't a let down series because I have yet to read Allegiant. :D
ReplyDeleteThose photos are absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since I've read Insurgent, but I'm pretty sure I liked it. I don't think it was as good as the first one though. I'm halfway through Allegiant now and it's.. interesting!
