the twins at four months

I’m sharing #JOHNSONS in my life as part of a JOHNSON’S® sponsored series for Socialstars.™ Learn more about JOHNSONS by visiting their Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

Remember when I did monthly updates with my first child? And now that I have twins...  here's a four month update. Haha. (Technically this one could count too, actually.)

The first thing everybody says when they see both twins is, "They're such different sizes!"

You can say that again. Addison is still our tiny featherweight in the 5th percentile, and Lincoln is our heavyweight champion in the 90th percentile. They wear different diaper sizes, different clothes sizes, and they're two sizes apart when it comes to shoes. Or they would be if I ever got them any shoes. ;)
The difference in their legs cracks me up!

I swear these two are as different as twins could possibly be. Addie is constantly sucking on something (preferably her hands or a pacifier) while Link spits out binkies in disgust. Addie is a night owl and Link is a total early bird. Link's pretty good at fine motor movement but Addie has him beat when it comes to gross motor skills.

They're not all different though. Some days I think they'll end up with the same eye color? (Look at the pictures and tell me if I'm crazy.) They're both pretty darn bald.  They both love baths (witJOHNSON’S® baby soothing vapor bath when their button noses become stuffy noses). And the best news of all is that they're dang good at staying on the same sleeping schedule. Hallelujah praise the heavens amen.

We're starting to have a dry skin problem with Addie. She's our first child to have dry skin issues, so we're kind of at a loss of what to do. So far we've been putting on lots of lotion to keep her skin hydrated (JOHNSON’S® HEAD-TO-TOE™ extra moisturizing baby cream - I cannot emphasize enough how good this smells!). We also wipe her face with these gentler JOHNSON’S® hand and face wipes, and DESITIN® multi-purpose ointment has been great for her dry patches. It's been working pretty well so far. Thank goodness for products that help my babies during these dry Arizona winters.

And you guys? They've started discovering each other more often. I'll often see one twin grinning right at their other half, and sometimes they even catch each other's eye at the same time and all heaven breaks loose. Grins! Coos! Squeals! Those are the times you can find my heart absolutely melted on the floor.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Once you accept the fact that your life is going to be a little hectic for a year (or two, or three, or forever), being a twin mom is the absolute best. I hit the jackpot with these two gummy grinners. We love them to death.
