Merry Christmas from my family to yours

As I'm typing this, both twins are having their morning bottle in the feeding pillow by the light of my family's 13-foot Christmas tree. Nobody else is awake and the quiet is peaceful.

Last night I stayed up way too late. We went to a BYU Basketball game (both Sam and I credit a large portion of our love story to attending BYU Basketball games in the winter of 2010-2011). Then we came home and played games until way too late (I was so tired I caused my whole team to lose in the last round of Codenames).

Then I crunched some numbers with my blog expenses spreadsheet and realized I made literally quadruple the income in 2016 than I did the year before. Quadruple. Now, granted, last year's number wasn't that big, so quadrupling it was easier than you think, but still. I don't blog for the money, and I never will, but it has been a huge added blessing for my family this year and I am so grateful for my readers who help me reach both my creative and my monetary goals.

As is tradition, I'm taking off the last week in December to be with my family and celebrate the holidays. I hope you have the very merriest of weeks, and that it's filled with people you love and lots of treats.

Here's my Best of Silver Lining post to get you through the off-week.

See you in 2017!
